Below is a list of medical exams required by the Ohio State Athletic Commission in order to compete:
MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS (For Professional Fighters ONLY)
-Physical
-Blood Work (Please see below for specific tests)
-Ophthalmology Exam (To be performed with dilation and by an Ophthalmologist)
For Blood Work please ask specifically for the following tests:
HIV, HEPATITIS B SURFACE ANTIGEN, HEPATITIS C ANTIBODY, ELECTROLYTES.
All Medical Exams and Blood Work are good for one calendar year. Amateur MMA Fighters are not required to take these Medical Exams.
***Medical and Licensing Forms can be found at www.aco.ohio.gov. Medicals must be completed on these forms.
NOTE: All fighters 35 & Over must show proof of MRI or CAT SCAN Examination. This includes amateur MMA Fighters.
MAKE SURE YOU GET COPIES FOR YOUR RECORDS and FAX THEM TO the Ohio State Athletic Commission.
